DTFC Adult Cup - Aug 2008

Recently we have muted having an Adult competition between all DTFC adults teams

- 1st team
- Marp's, Burgin's, Churchies, Robs Reserves
- Browny's big times
- Les Sven's under achievers
- Bebbo's old farts
- Jenk's serious Sunday team
- 2 x Under 18's

This gives us 8 teams, starting with quarter final ties, semi's and of course a final.

It will be fun to see which team really are 2nd best to the 1st team (who should, in my opinion, be given an automatic bye straight into the final !).

Are Bebbo's over 55's really as good as Bebbo thinks ?
Will the 3rd team turn over the Ressies again ?
Can anyone touch the untouchable 1st team ?
What are the U18 teams like..any surprises there ?
Is Sunday football a patch on Saturdays ?
Can the 4th team redeem some local pride with a good run in the competition ?

Views and opinions please.......and for the easily offended, I am being purposely provocative in a bid to stoke up some passion / excitement for the competition (and this forum) !

Don't set up a beer tent though as it could be a deciding factor in the parched among us throwing it in the first round!

bring it on ...........but will we have to play it over 3 saturdays with the quarters then semis and then the final unless its only 20 mins each way as this would be a bit unfair on the 35,s playing 3 matches in one day (yes we will get to the final)....can see it now the 35's beating butlers prima donnas on their home turf.........dont forget we have towns leading scorer this season . will have to get beer tent set up so all the wags have somewhere to go...........and butler you can let nick horsfield cant wait to have him in my pocket
