To put this into some form of context, I’ve been doing some research.

An average pro footballer is expected to be around level 13 on the bleep test. Midfielders and full backs are expected to score highest.

It’s also supposed to be done on hard ground, and doing it on grass is roughly the equivalent of losing one level.
Some work to do yet, lads! Twisted Evil

If I remember correctly the world record for 800 metres outside is 1.41.11 held by Wilson Kipketer ran on 24/8/1997 (the run round the field was half a mile but even I talk now in metres and hundred weights).

I think we need to up the tempo a bit. I think we need a pace setter (I don't mind doing it although I will struggle in my Vauxhall Corsa up the grass bank (got a picture Danny ?) Very Happy

Thats the answer boys for the up and coming season - fit Nova engines to all the players backsides to give them extra power and speed (won't help Saint and Danno though - ouch).

If it was a song it would be "Vauxhall Supernova in the Sky"

Given we have got Kenwyne from Arberforne on this site is there anybody out there from Manner ?

Bleep Test / 1 Mile Run - Results Empty TOP NOVA & BLEEP TEST

Post  Saint Wed Jul 16, 2008 7:07 am

That is def Choona's Nova before the respray and all round pimping. Reckon it is chucking out at least 43BHP, not sure about the emmissions though. I'd take him out no probs in my 1.4 Focus turbo (48BHP since you ask.)

See you all tomorrow for more bleep test drama, BIG questions:
- what level would Phil H get to if he wasn't comsuming 80 units of alcohol each week, level 14 at least?
- what does Danny G need to do to reach level 6?
- will Pete join in and make level 4 his initial target.....???

Saint.

Why does it always rain on Thursday ?

Given the likelyhood of grey skies tonight at training me, Luke and Pete are going to sit in Pete's open top motor. Me and Pete are going to borrow our missus's umbrellas and Luke his borrowing his dad's brolly (big tough Ian for you who don't know him).

A few song lyrics for the occasion - can anyone guess the artists/groups ?

  • "Why does it always rain on me"
  • "Its raining again"
  • "Its raining all over the world"
  • "Mr Blue Sky" confused confused confused - answers through the forum and no cheating.

And one definately not for the occasion -

  • "Its raining men" ......... perhaps if the song had contained the lyric "Its raining a group of soft bellied wufters" then I might have been able to include it. Laughing Laughing Laughing

We will be looking for improved performance tonight and we expect far more bleeps outside of Luke's car than in it. Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Getting into shape, getting into shape - don't you believe it. Sumo wrestlers have got more shape than this lot.

You've never heard so much moaning and groaning (in between the heavy breathing) after two laps around the Gladys Buxton Fun Park (its fun fun fun all the way). Listen to them and you would have thought they had run a marathon never mind trotted a mile. You know its serious when Danny takes his head gear off.

Weather forecast looking good for Thursday - don't forget to bring the suncream. I bet some clever so and so brings their barbecue set and brightly covered deck chair.

Will there be a bleep test ? No but there will be a bleep bleep test. This time Luke is going to switch his car engine on, and with a heavy foot on the accelerator he is going to speed up the test. We will have all the players running around as if they are in a Benny Hill sketch - for the uneducated and the young ones amongst us - go to Google and type in Benny Hill.
